Handbook

The handbook is the most important documentation that enables the creation of culture within the ecosystem of its owner. It shows how all designers should work, where they can access information about the tools used, and the duties and responsibilities of all designers for a new member of the team.

Handbook — It accelerates the onboarding processes of designers

Design Tokens

It is one of the most important elements of the design system. A scalable system suitable for 2 different applications (Sahibinden Mobile Apps, Sahibinden Pro for Merchant) and 2 platform types was established.

Segmented Documentation

When handling the design system process for multi-platform products like Sahibinden, one of our key priorities was documentation. Every component, decision, and rule was thoroughly documented. The component documentation was structured according to designer and developer segmentation, ensuring that users could easily access the specific information they needed when viewing the same component.

The documentation content was segmented, and designer/developer selection was added.

87 Components, 280 Variants

All components were designed in a process involving their developers. The variant naming in Figma and the property naming in the codebase were conjugated. In this way, one of the most important principles of the design system, "unity of language", was achieved.

To explain with a small example; Everyone in the team learned the difference between selectbox and combobox.

Case

More than one font was used in teams such as Marketing, Product, and Internal Communication within the Owner's organization. So much so that this number reached 8. It created expenses such as license fees and disrupted the consistency of the product.

Solution: SHB Grotesk

We carried out the typography design and development process with TAF STUDIO. Our aim was to produce a font family suitable for use in printed materials and digital media. Finally, SHB Grotesk was born, running smoothly on every size and every device.
